However, although each situation may be
different, it is important to realize that barley is in fact a
very acidic food. Therefore the best idea is to stay away from
foods that contain it, because they are likely to aggravate
your condition. There are a few other reasons that you should
avoid barley, including the fact that it is rich in
gluten. Foods that are high in gluten have been proven to
cause acid reflux and therefore should be avoided as well.
Therefore in response to the question of is it
ok to eat barely when you have acid reflux, it is quite easy to
see that there is very good reason to avoid eating barley
altogether. Really, the only part of barley that does not cause
acid reflux is the barley grass, which is gluten free and
alkaline. So, it is not okay to eat barley when you have acid
reflux.
There are many other foods that should be
avoided when you have acid reflux, as they will aggravate the
condition and possibly even cause it to become dangerous. The
best idea is to work together with your doctor on this in order
to assess your condition and help you to determine which foods
are safe and which are unsafe for your acid reflux disease.
Acid reflux can definitely be frustrating and
painful, but know that there are steps that you can take and
things you can do in order to help relieve your symptoms and
keep your acid reflux from being any more serious than it has
to be. As of yet there is no cure, but the treatment options
that are available are pretty darn close.
Preventing Heartburn Is Best Method For Relief
Even without the accompanying chest pain typically
associated with excess stomach acid, acid reflux without
heartburn can still cause damage to the esophagus and the open
the sufferer to potential problems. Simply not feeling the pain
in the chest does not mean the acid is not causing damage to
the lining of the esophagus and a chronic cough or continued
need to clear the throat may be signs that the throat tissues
is being damaged.
If the person finds that certain foods tend to make these
symptoms worse, or more frequent, they would be better served
to avoid them, or at least talk to the doctor about products
that can help reduce the amount of stomach acid that can cause
acid reflux without heartburn. Often times, a change in diet is
all it takes to eliminate acid indigestion.
If eliminating possible causes of acid reflux without
heartburn does not seem to cure a cough or irritated throat,
check with the doctor on other possible causes is recommended.
Chronic throat irritation can also be a symptom of other
medical conditions and will need to be checked out
professionally.

Stop Acid Reflux Now is written by
Kathryn Whittaker. This is another good
e-book on curing your acid relfux or heartburn naturally. This
e-book has slighly more of an educational style to it. This is
either good or bad depending on how you want to look at it.
Overall this is a good e-book, but not my favourit. I give it a
8.5 out of 10.

The Reflux Remedy Report is written by
Bob Barton. This is a quality e-book that is a little shorter
and to the point. I like how it is short, but somtimes the
educational part can be usefull to understanding acid reflux
more effectivly. Overall this is good, but falls short of
competing against the others. I give it a 7.8 out of
10.
